Victoria Miecznikowski
Communcations Consultant
Victoria holds a Masters degree in Communications from RoyalRoads University, and a Bachelors degree in English from McMaster University. Her areas of specialization include organizational/employee communications, online and web-based communications, strategic communications planning and media relations.
Through her volunteer work with various charities, Victoria has gained an appreciation of the challenges that non-profit organizations face in today’s economy. In her role as Communications Officer for the DeGroote School of Business at McMasterUniversity, she gained an understanding of donor relations, fundraising and stewardship.
At the City of Hamilton, Victoria was the lead communicator for the organization’s internal communications and regularly provided strategic support and advice to the senior management team. She also managed the communications for the 2006 Municipal Election and took the initiative to build partnerships with community agencies such as Adult Basic Education Association to provide election information to adults with low literacy skills.
In addition, Victoria been a freelance writer and editor since 1994, and her work has appeared in a number of local, national and U.S. publications. She is also enrolled in the International Association of Business Communicators’ (IABC) accreditation process.
Mark Van Beveren
Communications consultant
We welcome Mark as a new resource for The Dennis Group Team. He brings over 25 years of experience with Christian schools, in both Christian Higher Education and Christian Day Schools. Most recently he held a senior communications position with Redeemer University College, where he worked with the university's fundraising professionals and developed communications programs for the institution's internal and external communities. Mark’s extensive communications and marketing experience are applied to our clients' needs in an effort to augment their public outreach and awareness.
He is a past chair of a Christian elementary school board, and is presently also volunteering as a member of a school campaign team and a foundation board member for a Christian nursing home facility. He holds an MBA from McMaster University and a BA (Economics) from Calvin College.
