Elizabeth Palermo

Consultant

“I’m inspired by working with nonprofits to help make a difference, and to continually learn and grow as a person. The opportunity to meet and collaborate with incredible people dedicated to making the world a better place is immensely rewarding. Stories are at the heart of human connection, and it’s a privilege to amplify the voices behind charitable causes and share how these efforts transform lives.”

With over two decades of experience in communications, Elizabeth brings vision and versatility to her role at The Dennis Group. Passionate about supporting purpose-driven organizations, she is skilled in strategic and campaign planning, prospect research and donor engagement, and crafting compelling cases for support.

Elizabeth’s career spans leadership, fundraising, and communication roles across the arts and culture, environment and social services sectors. Her dedication includes volunteering for causes like the Cornerstone Family Violence Prevention Centre, The David Suzuki Foundation, The United Way and World Literacy of Canada.

She holds an Honours Bachelor of Journalism from Toronto Metropolitan University and a Professional Certificate in Not-For-Profit Management from Western University. Elizabeth is also passionate about women’s issues, gender equality and food and housing security.

Outside of her professional life, Elizabeth enjoys yoga, Qi Gong, kayaking, herbalism, and reading library books under a tall pine by the lake. She cherishes spending time in nature with her family and lives on the treaty and traditional territory of the Michi Saagiig Anishnaabeg in Peterborough.
