Elizabeth Palermo

Associate fundraising consultant

“Beyond being driven to help affect positive change, I’m moved to work in the nonprofit sector to never stop learning and growing, and because meeting and working with amazing people who are dedicated to making this world a better place is immensely inspiring. Stories are at the heart of human interaction, and it’s a privilege to catch and amplify the stories behind charitable causes and of those whose lives are better because of them.”

Elizabeth brings a diverse skill set and 20 years of experience in communications to The Dennis Group. She is passionate about helping clients create impact through communications, and as an Associate Consultant, oversees campaign moves management systems, the development of key collateral materials and campaign reporting.

She has worked in broadcast, print and digital media and has volunteered for many mission-driven causes, including Cornerstone Family Violence Prevention Centre, The David Suzuki Foundation, The United Way, The Salvation Army, and World Literacy of Canada. She began working in the non-profit sector several years ago with arts and social justice charitable organizations, successfully launching events, fundraising campaigns, and marketing initiatives.

Elizabeth has an Honours Bachelor of Journalism degree from Toronto Metropolitan University and a Professional Certificate in Not-For-Profit Management from Western University. She is a fervent writer, reader, and is continually expanding her education with professional development courses. She lives in Peterborough, on the treaty and traditional territory of the Michi Saagiig Anishnaabeg, with her husband and two sons in connection with nature.
